“Are you comfortable in your own skin?”

This is a BIG question isn’t it?

This comes up in consultations so many times with the clients I treat for skin symptoms – eczema, acne, hives, rosacea etc.

Clients come for homeopathic treatment for skin symptoms, however the impact of your skin condition doesn’t stop at their skin. Nearly ALL of my clients tell me they experience varying degrees of anxiety about their skin and very often this anxiety can make their symptoms worse.

Thankfully with the help of homeopathic remedies I can help my clients skin heal AND ease their emotional symptoms too.

We can find articles looking at this idea in lifestyle magazines and blogs, and scrolling through social media posts. Then the next article or ad we come across talks about weight loss, make up tips, ads for cosmetic surgery.

I find it all a bit confusing. What about you?

We are encouraged to love who we are yet at the same time change our outward appearance, to look different.

We are bombarded with images of women (and men) with perfect skin, perfect teeth; scars, marks and blemishes are hidden. We are sold product after product which promise to give us a flawless complexion.

I felt a little disheartened by this.

Then this morning a fantastic post from Body Image Movement popped up in my Facebook feed. (https://www.facebook.com/bodyimagemovement/)

This woman is so comfortable in her own skin!! Fantastic.
