What’s it like to work with Rachael?

I want to you to heal – gently and naturally.

I offer a safe space for you to talk and share your story. I am here to help you as long as you need. The healing process is yours. I offer support and homeopathic treatment so you can heal.

Homeopathic treatment is the catalyst for your body to start healing itself.

Your body wants to be well and knows how to heal.
My role as your homeopath is to support you as you start to recover.

So, what’s the process?

Working with a homeopath maybe a new experience for you. I’ve tried to detail what to expect at each step of the way here. There is quite a lot of information here, but it’s all relevant and it will hopefully answer many of your questions.

If you have specific questions about homeopathic treatment and how it can help you and your family you can book a free 15-minute Intro Call HERE. Please give a brief description of what you are seeking helping with. Sometimes people seek help for a condition or illness I feel would be better placed working with someone else, so from time to time I will decline to work with certain cases. Where I can you will be offered a referral to another homeopath who may be better placed to help you.

This is a chance for us to meet and have a chat, for you to ask me any questions and to see if we are a good fit to work together. Please note this is an introductory, or discovery call only. I am not able to offer any specific guidance on your individual case in this appointment or offer remedy advise.

You may already have decided homeopathic treatment is for you and you would like to book your first appointment. You can schedule that HERE.

Booking your appointment.

If you’ve made the decision to go ahead with treatment you can book an appointment HERE. When you will see a booking calendar in your time zone with available dates and times. You will be asked to pay for your appointment at the time of booking.

Fees: Fees are in GBP. Your bank will calculate the exchange rate at the time of transaction if you are paying in another currency. You will find fee information on my BOOKING PAGE.

You will receive a confirmation email to the email you used when booking. Please ensure you have access to this email as it contains important information about your appointment.

Appointments are via ZOOM. Please ensure you have this app downloaded onto a device you intend to use for your appointment. You may need to install updates for Zoom from time to time, so please do check before the appointment. Details about downloading Zoom are in your confirmation email. If you do not have access to Zoom, no problem. Please email me and we can work out another way.

I do not currently offer face to face appointments.

Pop your appointment in your diary! Appointments are often made several weeks in advance and life is busy, it’s easy to forget about things in the future without reminders. I do send 2 reminder emails before your appointment to the email you used to book the appointment.

Before your appointment.

If you are seeking help for skin conditions, please email photos prior to the appointment. Please use your discretion sending photos – only send photos of arms, legs, face, back hands, feet etc…

Information about you. It’s helpful to have some information prior to your first appointment. Please set aside some time to put together an “autobiography”. This can be short, no more than 1-2 sides of paper. Tell me something about you or your life that you would like me to know, things you feel would be helpful to start the conversation in your appointment. If you have a history of medical interventions, medications, surgeries etc.. please details those so we can discuss. Please email this to me prior to your appointment.

Your appointment.

Please ensure you are in a comfy, safe space where you will not be disturbed. I appreciate life is busy and you may have a young family who need you around. This is YOUR time, so if you can make arrangements so you are able to be fully present for yourself in this time you will find you get more from each appointment. Its also helpful to have you phone off or on do not disturb and a glass of water to hand and maybe some tissues.

Please ensure your internet connection is stable also. If you are late to the appointment or have connection problems, I am not always able to make up for delays or pauses in the appointment.

You may not be at home for your appointment. Sometimes its more convenient to be in your vehicle for your appointment. Please ensure you are parked somewhere you won’t be disturbed. I am not comfortable taking an appointment when you are driving or walking or in a public space. Your appointment may cover personal issues which you may not wish to discuss in public.

Children’s appointments.

Your child is the client so its important they are present for some of the appointment. If they are of an age where they can communicate, I will ask them age-appropriate questions. For older children and teens, most of the questions will be asked of them. I may need to ask the parent about early childhood. If you are happy to allow an older child or teen to attend alone, please email me prior to discuss.
It may not be necessary for younger children to attend the whole appointment.

What happens in your appointment?

We have a conversation – about you. We will spend time talking in detail about your current symptoms. This will help me understand how you’re feeling. We will also discuss your past health history and previous treatments. You can read more about your homeopathy appointment HERE.

Your first appointment is between 1hr and 1hr 20mins.

After your appointment.

People often tell me they feel tired after their appointment. Your first appointment is over 1 hour, it’s a long time and this is often the first time you may have talked in such detail about yourself. It’s a perfectly natural response to feel tried. If you are able have a glass of water and maybe take a short walk. Go gently with yourself for the rest of the day.

After your appointment I work on your case. I may know what remedy you need during your appointment and other times I may need to spend some time going over my notes, researching particular symptoms and then putting together your “prescription”.

Your remedy, aka homeopathic medicine.

I will have already discussed with you in your appointment how you will receive your remedy or remedy information. I aim to get this to you within 1 week. If I need to order in a specific remedy or track down where you can order it, I will let you know. All the information on how to take your remedy and for how long will be included in the information I send you, along with some general information on what to expect in the coming weeks whilst you take your remedy.

I also give guidance on when to schedule your follow up appointment.

The follow up appointment.

At the start of treatment this is usually 4-6 weeks after your first appointment. As your healing progresses the length of time between each appointment may change, however for the first few sessions it’s likely to be 4-6 weeks.

Healing with homeopathy is a process which should not be rushed, and the pace is set by your body’s current energy reserves and internal resources. How quickly you will start to see changes is dependent on many things. These first appointments are an opportunity to see how you have responded to your remedy and to understand what is happening at a deeper level of your health and well-being.

Changes can happen at different stages in your treatment, so it’s important to book follow-up appointments. You may not see changes happening yourself. However, after a review of your symptoms it will become very clear just how much progress you have made.

Your follow up appointment is up to 40minutes.

If your symptoms have changed and you need a new remedy, I will email details to you or post remedies to you after your appointment. I aim to send this to you within 1 week.

How many appointments?

This is perhaps the question I am most frequently asked. And the only answer I can give is – I don’t have a clear answer for you. I realise this is not helpful for you so to start with I asked you estimate for 3-4 appointments. Within this time, we will get a good idea of how you are responding to remedies and be able to determine speed of healing. During this time, you will experience a change in your initial symptoms.

Taking your remedies.

Your remedies are based on your symptoms at the time of your appointment. They are intended to be taken as soon as you receive them. If you decide to delay taking them for more than 3 weeks, please email me before you do take them as they my no longer be appropriate for your symptoms.  

Contact in-between appointments.

When you start homeopathic treatment, you may have lots of questions about what to expect, particularly if you are new to this kind of healing. I am here to answer your questions. If you have urgent questions or anything changes you are not sure about, please email me. I set time aside Monday to Friday to answer emails. I aim to get back to you within 2-3 days if your email is not urgent. If you have lots of questions, please make a note of them and we can discuss them in follow up appointments.

You are very welcome to schedule a paid appointment with me should you like to discuss a particular aspect of your treatment which would take up a lot of time in a follow up appointment. Please email me to discuss this further.

Acute appointments.

These are appointments for existing clients only. I do not have availability to work with clients I do not already have a relationship with.
Should any symptoms come up that you would like help with in-between longer appointments then please schedule an acute appointment. Not sure what an acute is? Find out here. You will need access to remedies in order to treat your symptoms.
